Carpet Types
Berber
​Berber is a loop pile carpet, excellent for busy family rooms and hallways as it is very hardwearing.
Velvet
​Velvet pile carpets will give a luxury look and feel, they can be made from a variety of materials and are best fitted in rooms where there would be light traffic.
Wool, nylon, Polypropylene or blended?
Wool carpeting has a luxury look and soft feel, it is available in a large range of colours and designs, with good stain resistance, flame retardance and longevity. Polypropylene is a hard wearing materiel that is bleach cleanable, so great for homes with children or pets. Nylon is a durable material best suited for heavy use areas like halls, stairs and landings.
Your carpets can be made of blends of these materials to give softness, durability and stain resistance.
​Saxony
​Saxony is an elegant type of carpet pile, but will show foot prints or vacuuming marks so is best fitted to an occasional room or bedroom.
​Woven
​Woven carpets, refer to the method of manufacture, traditionally made on a loom, fibres are interlaced through a backing material and then locked into place using a latex backing, this gives a high quality hardwearing carpet, which has fantastic longevity, available in many different colours and patterns.
